DYOE held a steel cutting ceremony for a 15,000-ton multi-purpose cable construction vessel

On August 9, Jiangsu Dayang Marine Equipment Co., Ltd. (DYOE) held a steel cutting ceremony for the 15,000-ton multi-purpose cable construction vessel which was built for HUAXIA Financial Leasing Co.

Zhou Dajin, Deputy General Manager of Dejing Group, the ship owner’s partner, said that as offshore wind power is advancing to the deep sea, the existing offshore equipment and construction technology has been difficult to meet the development needs. Now, the construction of the world’s largest multi-purpose cable construction vessel with a carrying capacity of 15,000 tons is undoubtedly a key move of Dejing Group to keep up with the trend of the times and lead the development of the industry, which will certainly bring about a significant innovation and progress in submarine cable laying technology.

The relevant person in charge of HUAXIA Financial Leasing stated that the 15,000-ton multi-purpose cable construction vessel is the largest cable-laying vessel currently under construction in China, which is of great significance to the development of offshore wind power in China.

The vessel built by DYOE is a multi-purpose cable construction vessel with a capacity of 15,000 tons, which will become the largest cable-laying vessel in China after delivery next year. Its comprehensive performance is in the domestic leading level, at the same time it meets the product development trend of international cable-laying vessels, which will become the main equipment in the domestic and even Southeast Asian offshore cable-laying market in the next 10 years.
