Sanfu Shipbuilding kicked off construction of a 12,500DWT multi-purpose vessel

On August 7, Taizhou Sanfu Shipbuilding held a steel cutting ceremony for a 12,500DWT multi-purpose vessel, which was built for a German shipowner in the steel processing workshop.

Classed by DNV, the vessel has an overall length of 147.00 meters, a beam of 22.80 meters, a depth of 11.55 meters, a design draft of 7.50 meters with a speed of 15 knots and a range of 10,200 nautical miles.

The vessel under construction is the first unit of the series built for the German shipowner.

This series of vessels is further optimized and designed by Sanfu Shipbuilding Joint the design Institute on the basis of the original 12,500 DWT multi-purpose vessel, with increased ice area strengthening and meeting TIER 3 emission rules, which is a new type of green and environmental friendly vessel.
