On August 6, New Yangzi Shipbuilding, a subsidiary of Yangzijiang Group, delivered the 9th LNG dual-fueled 7000TEU container ship “ZIM SPINEL” to ZIM. The “ZIM SPINEL” departed for its maiden voyage and will be put into operation by ZIM.
It is understood that the container ship was kicked off construction at the end of July 2023, laid keel in January 2024, launched in mid-May, and successfully completed the sea trials in mid-July, with all the test results meeting the design standards.
On July 22nd, Yangzijiang Group, SEASPAN and ZIM held a naming ceremony for the ship, and on August 5th, “ZIM SPINEL” was signed and delivered.
