On the 5th of August 2024, Penglai Zhongbai Jinglu Ship Industry Co., Ltd. (Jinglu Shipyard) successfully delivered one 1400TEU container vessel named “ELBINSEL” to German owner United Shipping Companies, this is the seventh vessel in the series of ten built for German owners.
On the basis of comprehensively summarizing the construction experience of the former vessel, the construction team of Jinglu Shipyard insisted on scientific planning, forward movement of work processes and optimization of technology, so that the integrity of the vessel reached the best in the series of vessels, which created favorable conditions for the shortening of the dock construction cycle, and moreover, laid a solid foundation for smooth and efficient delivery of the subsequent vessels.
This series of vessels has won high recognition and favor in the shipping market for its excellent transport efficiency, economic performance and green technology, with lower energy consumption and faster speed at the same deadweight tonnage.
This vessel mainly serves the European Baltic Sea area, with an overall length of 169.95m, a beam of 26.9m, a deadweight tonnage of about 20,250t, a depth of 14.85m, and an Ice Class IA notation
It can sail in ice area, and at the same time load ISO 45, 40, 20-foot regular and high containers and reefer containers and other kinds of TEUs, and can also load extended 21, 22, 23, 24-foot containers.
It is worth mentioning that during the outfitting process of the vessel at the wharf, Jinglu Shipyard team took only 55 days to carry out sea trials, and after the sea trial, the vessel was even successfully delivered 8 days later, which once again set a new height for the delivery of the vessel by Jinglu Shipyard.
