COSCO Shipping Heavy Industry (Zhoushan) completed the sea trials of a 63,600 DWT bulk carrier

On August 4, N1093, the eighth 63,600 DWT bulk carrier built by COSCO Shipping Heavy Industry (Zhoushan) for BOCOM Leasing, successfully completed all the sea trial tasks and returned.

After the N1093 project was launched, project team of COSCO Shipping Heavy Industry (Zhoushan) quickly started and carefully planned the special implementation plan for the main engine to start operation and sea trial. By sorting out the construction logic and strictly controlling the critical path, and organizing the efficient collaboration of all lines, COSCO Shipping Heavy Industry (Zhoushan) ensured that the bulk carrier was ready for sea trials 35 days after being launched.

During the trial voyage, the project team formulated a trial voyage program with the main propulsion system as the main line and other test items in parallel under the corresponding working conditions to ensure the orderly connection between the various parts of the delivery and verification.

It took only 48 hours for this bulk carrier to complete all the test items, all passed in one time, and the fuel consumption and speed met the requirements of the technical specifications.
