In the afternoon of July 31, Jiangsu Port Group’s Jiangsu Ocean Shipping and Nantong COSCO KHI Ship Engineering (NACKS), a subsidiary of COSCO Shipping Heavy Industry, signed a strategic cooperation agreement and a contract for two 82,000 DWT intelligent bulk carriers.
It is understood that this 82,000 DWT bulk carrier project is the first time for Jiangsu Ocean Shipping to order Kamsarmax bulk carriers from COSCO Shipping Heavy Industry.
Since 2002, Jiangsu Ocean Shipping has cooperated with NACKS and constructed 23 bulk carriers, which is of great significance to improve the fleet structure and enhance the capacity of Jiangsu Ocean Shipping.
