COSCO Shipping Heavy Industry (Yangzhou) christened an 82,000 DWT bulk carrier

On July 31st, COSCO Shipping Heavy Industry (Yangzhou) held a naming ceremony for the last in a series of eight 82,000 DWT bulk carriers built for China Development Bank Financial Leasing (CDB Leasing). The new shipbuilding was named “CL JINGDEZHEN”.

It is reported that the 82,000 DWT bulk carrier project is the third important project between COSCO Shipping Heavy Industry (Yangzhou) and CDB Leasing after the successful cooperation of 208,000 DWT bulk carrier and 210,000 DWT bulk carrier, with a total of 8 units. “CL JINGDEZHEN” is the last vessel of the project.

As a new generation of Kamsarmax bulk carrier, it meets the requirements of the latest emission regulations, is passable in both the old and new Panama Canal. It features greater adaptability, higher economy, green, environmental protection, energy saving and safety. The seven vessels previously delivered have performed well in actual operation.
