Recently, Jiangmen Nanyang Ship Engineering held a naming and delivery ceremony for a 40,500 dwt bulk carrier “EB GRAND”, which was the first newbuilding ordered by Everbright Financial Leasing.
Mr. Zhang Xiaofang, member of Everbright Financial Leasing’s Party Committee and Chairman of the Board of Supervisors, attended the ceremony and acted as the godmother of the bulk carrier.
“EB GRAND” is a 40,500 DWT open top energy saving and eco-friendly bulk carrier with large open holds and thus has the function of transporting timber, which can meet the requirements of the third phase of the ship Energy Efficiency Design Index (EEDI).
Its main and auxiliary engines are equipped with HPSCR systems to meet Tier-III emission requirements and are fitted with intelligent navigational aids.
