DSIC Kicked off the Construction of a 175,000 cbm LNG Carrier

On July 19, Dalian Shipbuilding Industry Corporation(DSIC), a subsidiary of China State Shipbuilding Corporation (CSSC), successfully kicked off the construction of a 175,000 cbm large-scale liquefied natural gas (LNG) carrier build for China Merchants Energy Shipping (CMES).

It is a new generation of energy-saving and environment-friendly LNG carrier series built by DSIC. DSIC fully utilized the dock resources to build the bow and stern sections at the same time, and finally completed the main hull close-up of the two sections, which further improved the construction efficiency and quality, fulfilling the rapid production of the LNG carrier series.

It is worth mentioning that on the same day, DSIC held the “3 Million Manhours LTI-Free Safety Award Ceremony” for CMES’s LNG carrier program.
