Recently, Fujian Guohang Ocean Shipping (Group) and Jiangsu Haitong Offshore Engineering Equipment (JSHT) held a signing ceremony for the signing of two 63,500DWT bulk carriers in Nantong, Jiangsu Province.
Designed by SDARI, the 63,500DWT bulk carrier adopts a novel hull line and ESD to improve energy efficiency. And through the excellent line design and low wind resistance superstructure design, it significantly reduces fuel consumption and improves the wave resistance and maneuverability of the vessel in rough sea conditions.
Based on CSR-H’s safe and reliable refined structural design and fully specialized lightweight research, the bulk carrier improves its deadweight. The design of oversized cargo hold capacity makes it more cargoable and the EEDI can reach IMO Phase III requirements.
The bulk carrier adopts the intelligent notation N Vessel Navigation Safety Aid System, which has the functions of night vision, fog penetration, behavior recognition, collision avoidance tips, etc.; the E notation, Vessel Energy Efficiency System, which realizes the real-time monitoring of vessel emissions and the quantity of oil used and stored, etc.; and connects with the interface of Fujian Guohang Ocean Shipping (Group)’s offshore data center to realize the sharing of information between the ship and shore.
The nitrogen oxides (NOx) meets the requirements of Tier III. The 63,500DWT series of bulk carriers has lower fuel consumption and better economy, which is a safe, efficient, low-carbon and eco-friendly bulk carrier.
As previously reported, the contract’s individual bulk carrier price is $32.8 million (about RMB 238 million) (excluding tax), and the total price of the two bulk carriers is $65.6 million (about RMB 477 million).
