COSCO SHIPPING (Qidong) Offshore kicked off construction of a jack-up wind power installation vessel

On July 18th, COSCO SHIPPING (Qidong) Offshore held a ceremony for the opening of N1131 jack-up wind power installation vessel. Danish Shipowner Company, DNV Classification Society, leaders of COSCO SHIPPING (Qidong) Offshore and project team members attended the ceremony.

The N1131 project is the fourth high-end wind power installation vessel series built for the Danish shipowner by COSCO SHIPPING (Qidong) Offshore. Project N1131 will be further upgraded and optimized in terms of design, craftsmanship and workmanship, continuing to create a high-quality ind power installation vessel in this series.

On the same day, the No.1 vessel of the series, N1063, completed its sea trial and successfully passed a series of engineering verification such as DP positioning, battery function, pile insertion and lifting weight test, and returned to COSCO SHIPPING (Qidong) Offshore successfully.

At present, the No.1 vessel of the series has completed the sea trial, the No.2 vessel has been launched to carry out the subsequent engineering and commissioning work as planned, and the No.3 and No.4 vessels have been loaded and kicked off as planned. The reasonable planning and layout of COSCO SHIPPING (Qidong) Offshore has been recognized and praised by the shipowner.

This series of wind power installation vessels will be put into the European offshore green energy development after completion, engaged in offshore wind turbines, connectors and bases, such as transportation, lifting and installation work, but also can be dismantled and recycled offshore equipment, to achieve resource recycling and reuse, and help the global low-carbon emission reduction.
