GTT receives orders from DSIC for the design of tanks for two new liquefied gas carriers

GTT announces that it has received, in the second quarter of 2024, an order from its partner Dalian Shipbuilding Industry Corporation (DSIC) for the tank design of two new Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) Carriers, on behalf of Ocean Jade Investment Ltd.

Developed by DSIC, the LNG Carrieris equipped with GTT Mark III Flex cargo containment system with a total cargo capacity of 175,000 cubic meters, four cargo holds, a liquid cargo system for LNG cargoes only, and is equipped with a re-liquefaction system.

The delivery of the vessels is scheduled between the first and the second quarters of 2028.

According to the announcement made by China Gas on March 12, 2024, a wholly-owned subsidiary of China Gas will act as the lessee to lease the above two LNG carriers under long term charter contracts for a period of 20 years at a daily charter rate of approximately US$87,000 to US$100,000 per vessel.
