On July 18th, Afai Southern Shipyard (Panyu Guangzhou) (“AFAI”) and Qinhuangdao Port held a signing ceremony for Qinhuangdao Port’s Work traffic ship project.

It is reported that the contracted ship has an overall length of 43 meters, a beam of 8.3 meters, a design draft of 1.9 meters. The ship is mainly used for the daily operation of Qinhuangdao Port, and can also undertake investigation, patrol, transportation and other reception tasks.

In addition, it also features the function of an emergency command ship, capable of responding quickly in emergency situations, transporting rescue materials and equipment, and implementing on-site rescue operations.

The ship adopts advanced electric integrated propulsion technology, and can freely switch between highly efficient diesel-electric propulsion mode and environmentally friendly pure lithium-electric propulsion mode to cope with a variety of operating conditions, which is a new generation of eco-friendly ship.
