Jinglu Shipyard delivered a1800TEU containership

On July 17th, Penglai Zhongbai Jinglu Ship Industry (Jinglu Shipyard) successfully delivered the 1800 TEU containership “MTT BANGKOK” built for MTT Shipping Company of Malaysia.
Jinglu Shipbuilding has delivered two containerships as well as four vessels launching in three days of a week.

Classed by BV, “MTT BANGKOK” has an overall length of about 172.00m, a beam of 28.40m, a depth of 14.5m, a design draught of 8.50m, a structural draught of 9.70m with a design service speed of 18.7n, a design deadweight of 24,000t and meets the requirements of unlimited navigable area.

The 1800 TEU containership is equipped with low-speed two-stroke main engine, fixed pitch propeller and full-suspension rudder. The hull line is straight bow and square stern, with the superstructure and engine room located in the middle stern.

The containership has 4 cargo holds, the deck can carry up to 7 layers of containers, the cargo hold can carry 5 layers of containers, including 3 layers of high containers, the cargo hold and the deck can be mixed loading in accordance with the RUSSIAN STOWAGE mode. The nominal number of containers on board is 1,792, equipped with 258 cold box sockets.

“MTT BANGKOK” has an excellent hull resistance. With a capacity of 1,370 14-ton heavyweight containers and the BV’s LASHING-WW additional notation for container lashing on specific routes, it is an affordable feeder containership that can be flexibly deployed around the globe and is widely welcomed by the shipping market.
