Recently, Jiangnan Shipbuilding, a subsidiary of China State Shipbuilding Corporation, launched a 7,600 CEU liquefied natural gas (LNG) dual-fuel vehicle carrier being built for SAIC Anji Logistics.
Designed with an overall length of 199.9 meters, a beam of 38 meters, a depth of 15.5 meters, a structural draft of 10.2 meters, a service speed of 19 knots, and classed by DNV and CCS, it is a new-generation super-Panamax car carrier complying with the latest international emission rules. This series of vessels are researched and designed by SDARI and constructed by Jiangnan Shipbuilding, with completely independent intellectual property rights.The vessel features a dual-fuel power design with many characteristics such as high emission cleanliness, low fuel consumption, flexible operation, convenient maintenance and high profitability.
This series of vessels is the first time for Jiangnan Shipbuilding to cooperate with the top domestic car carrier owners in the construction of large LNG dual-fuel car carriers. The first ship of the series is expected to delivered in January next year.
