Yiu Lian Dockyards (Zhoushan) Kichs Off Major Retrofit Project for Wind Power Platform Vessel

On July 12, Yiu Lian Dockyards (Zhoushan) held a four-party witnessing ceremony for the commencement of the major retrofit project of CCCC Haifeng Wind Power Development’s “Haifeng 1007” wind power platform vessel. Marked this platform vessel was officially transferred to the major retrofit construction stage after completing the intermediate inspection in June.

With an overall length of 135.68 meters, a width of 40 meters, a depth of 7 meters, and a pile leg height of 91 meters, “Haifeng 1007” is equipped with an 800-ton full slewing crane. The vessel has a crew of 40 and a self-sustainability of 30 days.

According toCCCC Haifeng Wind Power Development’s equipment strategic planning layout, the Haifeng 1000 series of second-generation platform vessel positioning will be transformed from the offshore wind power installation to wind turbine large parts maintenance and technical reform operation and maintenance.

In accordance with the new specification of CCS 2023 platform ship, this major remodeling of platform vessel upgraded and enlarged the capacity of the original vessel’s habitation cabins to the standard configuration for 80 persons, which mainly involves the comprehensive updating and upgrading of cabin arrangement, ventilation system, fire-fighting and life-saving equipments, as well as anti-pollution system of domestic wastewater, and so on.

After the completion of this major reconstruction, the vessel will significantly enhance the turbine large parts operation and maintenance operations cabin environment and comfort, effectively reduce the operation and maintenance of the supporting costs of the auxiliary vessels during the opration, optimize the enhancement of the market competitiveness of Haifeng 1000 series of equipment industry, and help CCCC Haifeng Wind Power Development’s offshore wind power integrated operation and maintenance mode of new development.
