On July 10, Southeast Shipyard, a subsidiary of Fujian Shipbuilding Industry, successfully laid keel for an 18,500 DWT chemical/oil tanker (DN18500-2).
The chemical/oil tanker has an overall length of 149.8 meters, a beam of 22.8 meters, a depth of 12.7 meters and a design draft of 8.5 meters.
It will be mainly used to transport product oils, vegetable oils and bulk chemicals (Class II and III) with trial flash point ≤60℃ meeting the requirements of IBC specification, featuring shallow draught and large capacity and meeting the requirements of unlimited navigation area.
