COSCO Shipping Heavy Industry (Guangdong) keeps receiving new shipbuilding orders

Since this year, COSCO Shipping Heavy Industry (Guangdong) has successively undertaken two 20,000-ton articulated tug barges (ATB), two 53.4-meter offshore tugs and four 7,999-ton methanol bunkering vessels. Among them, the 20,000-ton ATB will start construction soon, and the offshore tugboat and methanol bunkering vessel are advancing the production technology preparation work in an orderly manner.

The 20,000-ton ATB is mainly operated for iron ore transshipment between terminals and large ocean carriers, with high performance in loading and unloading speed.The 53.4-meter offshore tug is equipped with an electric propulsion system with good operating performance and fitted with a methanol Ready main generator set, which is in line with the future trend of global new energy ship development.

Equipped with twin engines, twin propellers and bow thrusters, the 7999-ton methanol bunkering vessel is not only capable of loading general product oil, but also has the loading capacity of Class II chemicals, and is suitable for loading fuels such as methanol, fatty acid methyl ester, biodiesel, and so on.
