On July 9th, Nantong COSCO KHI Ship Engineering (NACKS) delivered the 64,000 DWT bulk carrier “LOWLANDS WEALTH”, which was built for F.J. LINES INC.

“LOWLANDS WEALTH” is the 447th vessel built by NACKS. The bulk carrier has an overall length of 199.90m, a breadth of 32.24m, a depth of 19.40m, a full load draft of 13.50m, with a gross tonnage of 36,452 tons, a deadweight of 64,225 tons, and a cargo hold volume of 81,432 cubic meters. Classed by Nippon Kaiji Kyokai (NK), it has a crew of 25 and is flying the flag of the Marshall Islands.

“LOWLANDS WEALTH” is a flat-deck bulk carrier with a bow floor and 5 holds for cargoes such as grain, coal, ore, etc. Four 30-ton deck cranes were installed on the centerline of the hull between each hatch cover, which enables loading and unloading operations in ports where there are no cargo handling facilities.

The bulk carrier adopts an energy-saving electronically controlled diesel main engine and applies technologies that can improve propulsion performance, such as propellers that help improve propulsion efficiency, energy-saving technologies developed by Kawasaki Heavy Industries, such as Kawasaki RBS-F, Kawasaki SDS-F, etc., which improves fuel efficiency and meets the requirements of Phase III of the ship Energy Efficiency Design Index (EEDI).
