On July 9, BOCOM Leasing successfully signed three 174,000 m3 LNG carriers finance lease agreements with COSCO SHIPPING Energy Transportation, Mitsui O.S.K. Lines (MOL) and ENN Group successfully signed three finance lease agreements for three 174,000 cubic meters LNG carriers.
The three new-built 174,000m3 LNG carriers of this project are all constructed by Hudong-Zhonghua Shipbuilding Group under China State Shipbuilding Corporation (CSSC) and are the latest fifth-generation LNG carriers independently designed and built by the company. With low comprehensive energy consumption, good low-temperature performance, strong cargo-carrying capacity and wide route coverage, this 174,000 cubic meters LNG carrier represents the highest technical level in the field of large LNG carriers in the world.
With an annual LNG distribution capacity of over 10 billion cubic meters, ENN Group operates China’s first large-scale privately-owned LNG receiving terminal, Zhoushan LNG Receiving Terminal, and its business covers the whole scenario of the natural gas industry, including distribution, trade, storage and transportation, production and engineering.
According to the introduction, ENN Group LNG carrier project is an important part of the upstream and downstream integration of the domestic natural gas industry, which is of great significance in promoting the use of clean energy and achieving the sustainable development of green shipping.
