Fujian Shipbuilding Industry exceeds its annual order receiving target

Recently, Fujian Shipbuilding Industry signed an order for 4+2+2 94.76-meter Platform Supply Vessels (PSVs) with a Greek shipowner, which triggered widespread concern in the industry. With this order, Fujian Shipbuilding Industry and its subsidiary companies have received orders for 36 new vessels in the first half of this year, completing 104.9% of its annual plan, and exceeding its annual order-taking task ahead of schedule.

It is understood that Fujian Shipbuilding Industry has designed and built many types of offshore vessels such as 59 meters, 75 meters, 87 meters, etc., and its international market share has reached more than 20% at the highest, which not only possesses rich experience in designing and building offshore vessels, but also has created a number of branded vessel types. With the PSV orders, together with the previous orders and orders to be effective, Fujian Shipbuilding Industry’s hand-held order book can meet the production demand up to 2028.

According to the relevant person in charge of Fujian Shipbuilding Industry, the company has long been always to undertake new vessel orders as an important work of sustainable and high-quality development, and actively play the advantages of the vessel type research and development, technical design, product brand, quality and reputation, business performance, market visibility, etc.,and co-ordinate the coordination of its associated shipyards, continuing to open up market resources.

In the first half of this year, Fujian Shipbuilding Industry also won orders for 4+4 5,500 CEU dual-fuel powered PCTCs, 2 4,200 CEU dual-fuel powered PCTCs, 4+2+2 MR product tankers, 2+2 113,600 DWT dual-fuel powered oil tankers, 11 18,500 DWT tankers, 2 14,500 DWT product tankers, and 1 79. meter tuna purse seiner. product oil tankers, and one 79.8-meter tuna purse seiner.

In the process of expanding the market, Fujian Shipbuilding Industry has taken the initiative to focus on the vessel types that are urgently needed by the market, and now the company has more than 70 ships under construction, covering 7,500 CEU dual-fuel powered PCTCs, etc., 1,100 TEU, 1,800 TEU, 2,900 TEU, 3,700 TEU and other feeder container vessels, 18,500 DWT and 41,000 DWT tankers, as well as 85,000 DWT class Multi-purpose pulp vessels, 76-meter large tuna purse seiners, offshore platform work boats, large offshore wind power multi-functional service operation vessel, as well as various types of high-end pure electric passenger vessels.

According to incomplete statistics, as of the end of June this year, the shipyards under Fujian Shipbuilding Industry have delivered 19 vessels.

It is worth mentioning that Mawei Shipbuilding, a subsidiary of Fujian Shipbuilding Industry, is constructing the first 7,500 CEU liquefied natural gas (LNG) dual-fuel powered PCTC.

Mawei Shipbuilding has continuously innovated new paths of craftsmanship, introduced a set of effective precision control and special craftsmanship techniques, and strictly controlled the construction quality through a variety of ways and successfully overcame the key technical problems, accumulating valuable experience in the construction of subsequent batches of the same type of vessels.
