CIMC SOE won an order for 2 LNG Bunkering Vessels from VIS

Recently, Nantong CIMC Sinopacific Offshore & Engineering Co., Ltd (CIMC SOE) announced the signing of two LNG newbuilding with Vitol International Shipping (VIS), a subsidiary of Vitol, a well-known international commodity trader. The order includs one 12,500 m3 and one 20,000 m3 LNG Bunkering Vessel, which will be delivered in Q4 2026 and Q3 2027 respectively.

Both vessels will adopt CIMC SOE’s latest LNG bunkering vessel design, which takes into full consideration the vessel’s safety, economy and environmental friendliness in its design, with excellent transportation and refueling capabilities.

As previously reported, in April this year CIMC SOE signed an order with Avenir LNG for two 20,000m³ LNG carriers for refueling with deliveries scheduled for Q4 2026 and Q1 2027.

LNG enables shipowners to reduce their environmental footprint at competitive price levels. When combined with bio-LNG blending, it also offers shipowners a long-term solution for compliance with increasingly stringent emission regulations.
