Rosetti Marino wins $428 million offshore EPC contract

Libya’s Mellitah Oil & Gas has awarded Italian manufacturer/shipyard Rosetti Marino and its consortium partners Kerry Project Logistics and Gruppo Antonini a $428 million offshore contract to be used for offshore projects in the Mediterranean.

Mellitah Oil & Gas Libya is a consortium of the Libyan National Oil Corporation and Eni. The contract is equivalent to 33% of the overall project value.

Under the contract, Ravenna-based Rosetti Marino will be responsible for the project’s design, procurement, construction and loading and unloading (EPC), and will deliver the upper module of the wellhead platform, weighing approximately 6,000 tons, which is expected to be completed in the second quarter of 2027.

In 2023, Rosetti Marino received the world’s first contract for an offshore hydrogen production and storage platform from Dutch offshore wind farm developer CrossWind, a joint venture between Shell and Eneco. The contract covers the engineering, procurement, construction, installation and commissioning (EPCIC) of a megawatt-scale baseload power generation hub fully integrated into the offshore wind farm, which is expected to be completed by the end of 2025.
