Recently, Huangpu Wenchong Shipbuilding, a subsidiary of China State Shipbuilding Corporation (CSSC), has delivered “EVER VAST” (H2460) and “Guojia Nengyuan 821” (H3028G) one after another. Up to now, Huangpu Wenchong has delivered 14 vessels, exceeding the target of “double half” of vessel delivery ahead of schedule. EVER VAST was delivered 4 months ahead of the contract period, “Guojia Nengyuan 821” was delivered 15 months ahead of the contract period.
“EVER VAST” is one of the vessels built by Huangpu Wenchong for the shipowner in batch, which started a new journey on the day of delivery. During the construction period, the project team was guided by lean management, fully absorbed the construction experience of the former vessels, and refined the comprehensive operation plan to the daily plan, so as to realize the balanced, orderly and rhythmic construction of the products.
Moreover, by applying advanced tools such as PDCA, ECRS, etc., Huangpu Wenchong continuously improves various problems and minimizes the negative impacts on the ship construction, such as ultra-long duration rainfall in South China.
According to statistics, the sea trial opinion has dropped by more than 69% compared to the previous vessel in the series, and the overall construction efficiency has been improved by more than 17%. “Guojia Nengyuan 821” is the first vessel of “Sea Whale” 85,000DWT bulk carrier, which was built by Huangpu Wencong for Guoneng Ocean Shipping in batch, and it has set a new record for the sea trial record, quay stage and short period of delivery and issuance record for the first vessel built by Huangpu Wencong.
It is a vessel developed by CSSC Huangpu Wenchong independently and has been built in batch. Combined with the design and production experience of the same type of vessel, the design team completed all the detailed design in only 8 months. During this period, the design team set a new design benchmark for the company by structuring the outfitting, modularizing the modules, and continuously improving the modeling indicators such as steel plate utilization and CNC opening rate.
