CSSC Guangxi Shipbuilding completes sea trials of its first built ro-ro cargo vessel

June 26, China State Shipbuilding Corporation (CSSC) Guangxi Shipbuilding completes the sea trials of its first built Ro-Ro cargo vessel for Desail Offshore & Marine Engineering in Tianjin. The ro-ro cargo vessel is 109 meters long, which is the first 10,000-ton ro-ro cargo vessel in the history of Guangxi shipbuilding industry.

Classed by CCS, the vessel has an overall length of 109 meters, a beam of 22.2 meters, a depth of 6.2 meters, a design draft of 4.5 meters, a design speed of 12 knots. It mainly sails in coastal navigation area and is used for loading construction steel trusses, concrete bridge steel trusses and other general cargoes.

It is understood that all the performance indexes of the vessel in the sea trials have reached or better than the requirements of the test outline, and the sea trial task has been successfully completed.
