New Times Shipbuilding Launches Two 159,000 DWT Crude Oil Tankers

On June 26, in the 3# dock of New Times Shipbuilding, two 159,000 DWT crude oil tankers sailed out of the dock in turn for successful launching, marking the successful completion of the company’s target of launching in the first half of 2024 in the 3# dock.

These two 159,000 DWT crude oil tankers are the 1st and 2nd of the 4 vessels of this series currently ordered by Greek owner TMS at New Times Shipbuilding.

The crude oil tanker has an overall length of 274.0 meters, a beam of 50 meters, a depth of 23.2 meters, a design draught of 16.1 meters, a structural draught of 16.80 meters, with a capacity of about 180,000 cubic meters. Its main engine power is 13,500KW, sustained voyage power is 11,475KW, and it is equipped with a 1,200KW shaft generator system, which meets the requirements of Tier3 for nitrogen oxide emissions.

With design draft, main engine power NCR, fitted with PSV and HVAF, and 15% sea state reserve, the speed is about 13.9 knots, and the range is about 23,500 nautical miles when the main engine is based on full fuel tanks and only one shaft engine is operated.
