On June 26, ISND5-2 project in Qatar, which was undertaken by China National Offshore Oil Corporation (CNOOC)’s Qingdao under CNOOC was started in Qingdao Internationalized High-end Equipment Manufacturing Base.
This project is the richest business category and the most complex international offshore oil and gas field EPC project contracted by Chinese enterprises, marking that China’s offshore engineering EPC capacity has stepped up to a new level.
The overall construction period of the project is 43 months, and the contract value is about 2.216 billion Qatari riyals, equivalent to about 4.437 billion yuan. The project has set a record for international offshore oil and gas field EPC projects contracted by China in terms of the number of business categories and the complexity of the work content.
It is worth mentioning that Qatar ISND5-2 project is another Qatar oil and gas field construction project contracted by COOEC after Qatar NFA project and NFPS COMP2 project.In recent years, COOEC has ploughed into the Middle East market, established better cooperation with Saudi Aramco, Qatar National Oil and other Middle East oil companies, and has successively contracted projects such as Mazan, Saudi CRPO122, Qatar ISND5-2, etc., and its EPC capability has been recognized by the Middle East market.
