New Dayang Shipbuilding Signs Contract with IHB for up to Three Crown 63 3.0 Bulk Carriers

On June 26, New Dayang Shipbuilding, a subsidiary of Sumec Marine, signed a contract with Bulgarian owner Industrial Holding Bulgaria (IHB) for the construction of 2+1 Crown 63 3.0 bulk carriers.

Yang Yongqing, Party Secretary and Chairman of Sumec Marine, said that IHB is a famous enterprise in Bulgaria, and has a broad prospect of cooperation with Sumec Marine in various business sectors such as shipping business, ship repairing yard, steel casting, port service, machine tool export, etc. Both sides will take this signing as an opportunity to give full play to their respective advantages and jointly promote the implementation of the project.

Sumec Marine’s self-developed and designed ULTRAMAX brand Crown 63 3.0 version bulk carrier model, which features the advantages of large cargo capacity, energy saving and environmental protection, has been successfully delivered 19 units with good market response.

At present, the Crown 63 3.0 version bulk carriers have received orders from Greece, UK, Turkey, UAE, Egypt, Japan, China Taiwan, China Hong Kong and many other countries and regions. The successful signing of this project makes the total order quantity of Crown 63 3.0 version bulk carriers reach 94 units, and the brand has successfully entered Middle East and Europe market.
