WMMP kicked off construction of JANA 506 & 507 assisted living platform project for Saudi Arabia

Recently, Wuhan Marine Machinery Plant (WMMP), a subsidiary of China State Shipbuilding Corporation (CSSC), has successfully kicked off construction of JANA 506 & 507 assisted living platform project for Saudi Arabia.

It is learned that this platform is a new generation of shallow draft self-propelled jack-up offshore platform designed and built specifically for offshore oilfield services.

The platform is arranged with three decks inside the hull, namely the bottom deck, machinery deck and main deck. The two living quarters on the main deck can accommodate 118 people.

It is worth mentioning that the platform’s design draft reaches 2 meters, and the minimum operating water depth is only 3 meters, which enables it to carry out more service work for oilfields in special shallow waters, providing customers with an advantage in differentiated competition.
