XMXYG SOE christens and delivers 100th new vessel

On June 24th, XMXYG Shipbuilding & Offshore Engineering (XMXYG SOE) held a naming and delivery ceremony for the 100th new vessel. “CENTURY ZHENGZHOU” was successfully named and delivered, which is the 100th vessel built by XMXYG SOE since its establishment seven years ago. And on the same day XMXYG SOE also named and delivered another two newbuildings of the same type.

The three new vessels delivered this time are “Jixiang” series 63550DWT bulk carriers, with overall length 199.85m, beam 32.26m and depth 18.90m, which is a new green UltraMax bulk carrier independently developed by XMXYG SOE. Compared with the same type of bulk carriers at home and abroad, it has the advantages of larger load capacity and lower fuel consumption, and has more excellent performance in energy saving and environmental protection.

Meanwhile, this bulk carrier are equipped with 4 sets of 28M×30T full-circle slewing Kringling cranes, the main engine is equipped with HP-SCR denitrification device, and the fuel oil adopts low-sulphur heavy oil and light oil configurations, which meets the Tier-III emission requirements.In addition, the bulk carrier meets the International Maritime Organization (IMO) requirements for EEDI Phase 3.

Since XMXYG SOE established in 2016, the company’s new shipbuilding projects have covered high-performance ocean-going vessels such as energy-saving and eco-friendly series of bulk carriers, dual-fuel stainless steel chemical tankers, offshore wind power installation vessels, semi-submersibles etc. Up to now, XMXYG SOE has received orders for a total of 176 vessels, with hand-held orders of more than 5 million tons of deadweight tonnage, valued at more than RMB 20 billion. Its brand ship 63,500DWT series bulk carriers has been delivered 55 units and 52 units are hand-held, with a leading amount of hand-held orders in China.
