Zhoushan Hehui Ship Engineering launched an ocean research test vessel

On June 23rd, Zhoushan Hehui Ship Engineering successfully launched the ocean research test vessel “Anji Haiyang”.

With an overall length of 72.66 meters, a beam of 14 meters and a full load draft of 4.3 meters, the vessel adopts the Beidou positioning system. It has a range of 10,000 nautical miles, wind resistance of 10, and it can simultaneously accommodate 40 people for 60 days for living and having investigation.

The vessel adopts two generator sets with a power of 2,000 kW and implements a double-propeller rudderless 360° full-rotation positioning system, which can meet the requirements of modern scientific research and achieve the goal of energy saving and emission reduction.

Recognized by Zhejiang Ship Seahead Design And Research Institute (Seahead), the vessel is the first private 2,000-ton pure electric propulsion ocean research vessel in Zhejiang Province, which is of great significance to Zhoushan’s subsequent construction of intelligent research vessels and the promotion of the upgrading of the local traditional marine economic industry.

Subsequently, the vessel will have outfitting operations, and complete the equipments commissioning and sea trials, which is scheduled to be delivered and put into service at the end of July.
