XSI delivers last 2900TEU containership to EPS

On June 20, Xiamen Shipbuilding Industry (XSI) under Fujian Shipbuilding Industry Group successfully delivered the last 2900TEU containership in the series built for East Pacific Shipping Company (EPS).

This 2900TEU containership has a length of 185.99m, a beam of 35.20m, a depth of 17.20m, a full load draft of 11.00m with a deadweight of about 36,380 tons. For energy saving, it adopts SDARI’s unique S-Bow shape, which takes into account the comprehensive navigational performance of all drafts under the premise of guaranteeing the design draft speed.

Meanwhile, the EEDI meets the third phase requirements adopted by the 75th MEPC meeting, which is an efficient, economic and green containership.

At present, six 2900TEU containerships built by XSI for EPS have all been delivered, and the successful construction of this series of ships has laid a solid foundation for the continued and in-depth cooperation between the two sides.
