On the morning of June 18, Jiangxi New Jiangzhou Shipbuilding Heavy Industry held a steel cutting ceremony for the 135-meter stainless steel chemical tanker (NJZ1122), which was built for a Dutch shipowner.
According to previous reports, New Jiangzhou Shipbuilding Heavy Industry signed a contract for four 135-meter duplex stainless steel chemical tankers with Dutch ship owner MERCURIUS in March this year.
Classed by Lloyd’s Register (LR), this chemical tankers is a special vessel with high technological content, high value-added and broad market prospect. It can meet the special requirements of corrosion-resistant and high-strength cargo hold materials, and it can be loaded with a wide variety of liquid cargoes, including chemicals and petrochemicals.
The official commencement of construction of this 135-meter stainless steel chemical tanker marks the company’s solid step in the field of chemical tankers.
