On June 19, China State Shipbuilding Corporation (CSSC) Huangpu Wenchong Shipbuilding Co., Ltd. successfully delivered 2300 TEU feeder containership “ITAL WIT” (H2448) and 1600 TEU containership boxship “CA GUANGZHOU” (H2484).
In the morning of the day, “ITAL WIT” was delivered at Huangpu Wenchong Longxue factory, 134 days ahead of the contract period.
Classed by ABS, “ITAL WIT” has an overall length of 172.0 meters, a beam of 32.20 meters, a design draft of 9.0 meters, a deadweight of 27,900 tons, a design speed of 19.5 knots, and a range of 11,000 nautical miles. The feeder containership is equipped with desulphurization devices, as well as a complete low-sulphur fuel supply system and AMP shore power winch system.
“ITAL WIT” is classified ABS, with an overall length of 172.0 meters, a beam of 32.20 meters, a design draft of 9.0 meters, a deadweight of 27,900 tons, a design speed of 19.5 knots and a range of 11,000 nautical miles. In the afternoon, a signing and delivery ceremony for the 1600TEU feeder containership “CA GUANGZHOU” was held in Wenchong factory, which was 103 days ahead of the contract period.
This is the 2# unit of CA SHIPPING’s 1600TEU feeder containership program, which is undertaken by Huangpu Wenchong in batch, and will be put into operation on the Manila route immediately after delivery.
“CA GUANGZHOU” has a length of 166.95 meters, a breadth of 27.50 meters, a depth of 14.50 meters, with a design draft of 8.5 meters and a design speed of 16.95 knots. It can carry 1,640 TEUs, with a full load capacity of 23,700 tons, and it meets the EEDI2, which is an energy-saving and environmentally friendly feeder containership with a large load capacity, and it meets the operational needs of Southeast Asia routes.
