SWS cut steel for a 114,000 DWT Aframax product tanker

On June 19, Shanghai Waigaoqiao Shipbuilding (SWS), a subsidiary of China State Shipbuilding Corporation (CSSC), cut steel for a 114,000 DWT Aframax product tanker (Hull No. H1575) built for Greece’s Thenamaris Company. By now, all the product tankers in this series built by SWS for Greece Thenamaris Company have entered the construction stage.

H1575 is the sixth 114,000 DWT Aframax product tanker built by SWS for Thenamaris of Greece.The product tanker has an overall length of 249.95 meters, a beam of 44 meters, a depth of 21.2 meters and a design draft of 13.5 meters with a design speed of 14.5kn. It is equipped with MAN B&W 6G60ME-C10.5 main engine, which meets TIER III specification.

All departments of SWS are actively carrying out the production preparation work. At present, the detailed design of the project has reached 100%, the steel arrival rate has reached more than 85%, and all the production preparations are being implemented as planned.
