CSSC (Tianjin) Shipbuilding Delivered a 85,000 DWT Bulk Carrier

On June 18, CSSC (Tianjin) Shipbuilding delivered the 85,000 DWT bulk carrier “GOLDEN WAVE” built for Golden Ocean Group Limited 135 days ahead of the contract period.

“GOLDEN WAVE” is a new generation of Panamax green bulk carrier built by CSSC (Tianjin) Shipbuilding for Golden Ocean Group Limited. Designed for conventional fuel power, it is suitable for unlimited navigation area, meets the latest specification requirements and various pollutant gas emission standards.

All the performance and economic indexes such as loading capacity, speed, fuel consumption, etc. are leading level in China, and it meets the energy-saving and environmentally friendly full-life-cycle green ship at all stages from design to operation.

The construction process for “GOLDEN WAVE” is very efficient, from launching to sea trial only takes 48 days, which is 30 days ahead of the annual schedule. The sea trial took only 4 days, and all the items passed at once, achieving 100% success rate of inspection.

“GOLDEN WAVE” is the first vessel built by CSSC (Tianjin) Shipbuilding in its No.2 Dock, the successful delivery of this vessel marks that the shipbuilder has fulfilled the task of exceeding the production capacity in the first half of the year, which demonstrates the strong production strength of the shipyard.
