Chengxi Shipyard completed its half-year shipbuilding production target ahead of schedule

Since June, Chengxi Shipyard under China State Shipbuilding Corporation (CSSC) has accomplished a number of shipbuilding production targets, successfully completing the first half of the year in advance of the shipbuilding tasks.

Recently, Chengxi Shipyard has successfully kicked off the construction of a 84,500 DWT multi-purpose vessel built for CITIC Financial Leasing in Yangzhou Branch of Chengxi Shipbuilding.

The 84,500 DWT multi-purpose vessel is the 10th in this series built by Chengxi Shipyard for CITIC Financial Leasing, marking a new level of competitiveness in shipbuilding for Chengxi Shipyard. Classed by CCS, the multi-purpose vessel has an overall length of 225 meters, a beam of 36 meters, a depth of 21.05 meters with a design speed of 15.5 knots.

With strong adaptability and high loading efficiency, the vessel is capable of transporting a wide range of goods such as pulp, containers and new energy vehicles. Meanwhile, the vessel has excellent environmental protection performance, with high-pressure SCR system and open desulfurization tower and other environmental protection equipments, which can meet the requirements of EEDI PHASE Ⅲ energy efficiency and is lower than 50% of the baseline, with outstanding economic performance.

On June 14th, Chengxi Shipyard successfully launched a 62,000 DWT heavy lift vessel built for CITIC Financial Leasing.

On June 17, Chengxi Shipyard laid keel for a 62,000 DWT heavy lift vessel, which is the fifth in a series built for CITIC Financial Leasing.
