Yangzi Xinfu Shipbuilding Delivers a 16,000 TEU Container Ship

On June 14, Yangzi Xinfu Shipbuilding, a subsidiary of Yangzijiang Shipbuilding Group, delivered the seventh 16,000 TEU container ship “MSC MAURA” built for MSC and SEASPAN shipowners, which will be put on line to operate in MSC fleet.

This container ship has an overall length of about 366.0 meters, a beam of 51 meters, a depth of 30.2 meters, a design draft of 14.5 meters, a structural draft of 17.0 meter, and can carry up to 16,616 standard containers. It was set to build in April 2023, launched in mid-March 2024, and successfully completed its sea trials at the end of May, with all the test results meeting the design standards.

On June 12, Yangzijiang Shipbuilding Group and the ship owner held a christening and blessing ceremony for the new shipbuilding. Ms. Dai Cheng named the new ship “MSC MAURA”.
