Shandong Ocean Group received the first MPSOV “Lankun 02”

On May 31st, Rongcheng Shipbuilding Industry in Shandong Weihai successfully delivered Lankun 02, a multi-purpose service operation vessel (MPSOV) for offshore photovoltaic piling, which was invested by Shandong Lankun Ocean Engineering.

It marks the birth of the first offshore photovoltaic piling service and operation vessel equipped with DP power positioning capability, which will make a brand-new breakthrough for China’s offshore photovoltaic in the field of offshore construction.

Lankun 02 is designed with an overall length of 65 meters, a width of 28 meters and a depth of 3.4 meters. It fully utilizes advanced technologies in the field of offshore equipment, such as power positioning system, skidding system, positioning pile system, etc. Therefore, it can move flexibly, locate accurately and work efficiently under Class IV sea conditions to fulfill the integrated operation of lifting, transporting, supplying and piling of offshore PV piles. And it can complete the installation of 30 piles in a single day.

Shandong Lankun Ocean Engineering actively serves the national “Double Carbon” strategy, focuses on new marine energy and marine oil and gas and other offshore engineering fields, and is mainly engaged in the investment and operation of marine engineering equipment and offshore wind power, offshore photovoltaic construction, operation and maintenance, and other offshore engineering services.

The successful delivery of “Lankun 02” marks that Shandong Lankun Ocean Engineering’s “Lankun” series of facilities has added new members, and the service for the construction of strong marine province has gained new achievements.
