GWS delivers a semi-submersible deep-sea intelligent aquaculture tourism platform

On May 30th, Guangzhou Wengchong Shipyard (GWS) under Guangzhou Shipbuilding International (GSI), a subsidiary of China State Shipbuilding Corporation (CSSC), named and delivered the semi-submersible deep-sea intelligent aquaculture and tourism platform “Fish Farm Pu Sheng 6” in Nansha, Guangzhou.

Classed by China Classification Society (CCS), “Fish Farm Pu Sheng 6” has an overall length of 100 meters, a maximum width of 39 meters, a top deck height of 27.6 meters, and an operating draft of 15 meters, which is designed and developed by the Guangzhou Institute of Energy Conversion, Chinese Academy of Sciences.

Previously, GSI has delivered two deep-sea intelligent aquaculture tourism platforms to Hainan Pusheng Marine Technology Development, and “Fish Farm Pu Sheng 6” has been optimized and upgraded on the basis of the previous two platforms. The aquaculture water of “Fish Farm Pu Sheng 6” reached more than 60,000 cubic meters, double the aquaculture water of the previous two platforms.

The platform adopts solar photovoltaic power generation to supply electricity, which can realize self-sufficiency in energy. In addition, it is equipped with advanced seawater desalination system, sewage treatment system and oil contamination system, which can make it realize “zero” pollution to the nearby waters when farming.

As for safety, the platform adopts a wind and wave-resistant capacity four-corner mooring system, which can ensure its stability and safety for aquaculture operations even in extreme weather and bad sea conditions.

As a representative work of the new type of aquaculture tourism platform, “Fish Farm Pu Sheng 6” innovatively integrates the elements of leisure and tourism, which is a new type of aquaculture platform that meets the wishes of both aquaculture and leisure and tourism. It has the functions of leisure, entertainment and accommodation, providing high-end rooms of different styles, as well as leisure and entertainment facilities such as restaurants, swimming pools, bars, etc., which can realize the development of multi-industry integration.
