HRDD welcomes repair and modification production peaks

Since the middle of May, Huarun Dadong Dockyard (HRDD) has welcomed the production peak, with 10 types of vessels entering the repair and modification stage one after another. At present, the repair and modification works of HRDD are being carried out orderly under the command of each single vessel management team.

HRDD repairs and refits vessel in different types, including LNG, VLCC, multi-purpose vessels, Ro-Ro vessels, container vessels, as well as ore carriers, bulk carriers, tankers, floating cranes, and FPSOs, totaling 10 types of vessels.

And there’s another notable feature: a large volume of Ro-Ro vessels program. Within 30 days, there will be eight ro-ro vessels coming into the shipyard for repairs.

HRDD has both existing and new customers who have been cooperating for many years. Among them, there is the Japanese ro-ro vessel giant “Kagoshima Shipping”. Since 2010, the shipping company has been repairing vessels in HRDD for 15 years.

In 2024, Kagoshima plans to repair 11 Ro-Ro vessels. By April this year, HRDD has already completed the repair of 5 vessels. Among the 8 Ro-Ro vessels, 2 of them are from Kagoshima Shipping.

It is understood that a variety of vessels come to HRDD for repairing and modification, which is the result of HRDD’s long-term continuous improvement of product structure and upgrading of product grade, adherence to green ship repairing, quality above all and pragmatism. Especially, HRDD’s high-quality service is the fundamental reason for gaining shipowners’ trust.

Several Ro-Ro companies have identified HRDD as their preferred repair and refit base in China, according to the head of HRDD’s relevant department.
