Mawei Shipbuilding kicked off construction of two 76-meter large tuna seine vessels

On May 28th, Mawei Shipbuilding, an enterprise under Fujian Shipbuilding, successfully started the construction of two 76-meter large tuna seine vessels (MW821-1/2) for Weihai Hanyang Ocean Fisheries.

The vessel measures 76.73 meters in overall length, 13.50 meters in breadth and 7.70 meters in depth with a fish hold volume of about 1,840 cubic meters. The vessel has a free speed of 15.60 knots and it can accommodate a crew of 38 persons.

Classed by China Classification Society (CCS), the vessel features excellent hull line design, good maneuverability, stability and seaworthiness, which allows it to navigate in the Central and Western Pacific region.
